Guarding the gospel requires strength in God’s grace, which allows us to delegate it to others faithfully, to suffer joyfully, and to remember with confidence our Savior.

Don’t Be Ashamed

Sunday Sep 22, 2019

Sunday Sep 22, 2019

Truly great men of God care far more for the glory of Jesus Christ than for themselves. God’s chosen servants are commanded to share in the sufferings for the gospel and to keep their faith in Jesus by protecting the gospel, until Jesus comes.

Sunday Sep 15, 2019

Sunday Sep 15, 2019

The book of 2nd Timothy is a huge encouragement to the church. Paul is trying to fortify Timothy’s faith to face the mounting persecution that is headed his way. Timothy faced pressure, he felt fear and anxiety over the future. Paul wanted to draw his eyes back to the Lord and the ministry he was called to serve. Paul will set the stage for the letter by rehearsing what God has done in the past and how Timothy should press forward and fan the flame of the gifts that God has given him.

The Disciple of Paul

Sunday Sep 08, 2019

Sunday Sep 08, 2019

What is a disciple? A disciple is a follower. You can follow someone’s teaching from a distance and being a disciple of Jesus is at least that much. A disciple of Jesus follows Jesus, and lives as Jesus would have us. The Apostle Paul was a disciple and his motive for ministry was to train others, to disciple others. Paul was passing the mantle of ministry to his son in the faith and urged him to persevere in strength and faithfulness. We will learn from the Apostle Paul's last known letter to his child in the faith Timothy for the next 10 weeks.

Do You Trust God?

Sunday Aug 11, 2019

Sunday Aug 11, 2019

We have been looking at ever so briefly these last 6 weeks, the Sovereignty of God in the life of Joseph. This morning we end the journey with the last three chapters of the book of Genesis. The main point that I want you to understand this morning as we consider how we trust in God, is this: Because God is sovereign and faithful, we can die in hope that he will fulfill his promises to us. This is what we find when we consider the end of Jacob’s life and Joseph’s life. And I pray that it will be an encouragement to us as well this morning.

Do You Know How to Forgive?

Sunday Aug 04, 2019

Sunday Aug 04, 2019

If we seek to learn more about who God is and how God works in our lives, then we will learn more about how forgiveness works. Joseph teaches us how to forgive others who have sinned against us. But ultimately we learn how to forgive, because of what we see in Jesus Christ forgiving sinners.
